THE LIFE AND TIMES OF A FIFTH GRADER

My life (as a fifth grader) has come to an end but it does no harm if I relate it to you. Being a fifth grader is fun and adventurous. For example when I put my right foot on the roof and rushed back or when I was absent for (no reason) that was fun.

I should describe you my school. Going to school as most people advise is not an encouraging habit but alas the world is not perfect. Our school is over-flooded with monsters. The monsters lurk in every corner and every room. We have to take utmost care and stealth if you want to go anywhere. These monsters take away any of your belongings if they seem to be enjoying. Hate them everyone does but fighting them takes guts. If you do not know what I am talking about then you should know their common name TEACHERS.

Before I relate to you my tall tales(which I admit may have been 'slightly' exaggerated)I should tell you that please do not relate this story to a monster if you do not want to face complete and utter annihilation(but if you do want to face it you are most welcome).

As always our daily life as a fifth grader starts with chaos. As various students are proclaiming that they have not done their homework and are in panic while some of  the others have forgotten their book or copy but the most of us are playing, jumping, fighting or playing catch with somebody's packet of chips.(Haha that is really fun). Then the labor starts(Don't know what that means? I suggest looking under the label of 'productive study'). We are forced to work hours non-stop and with little mercy we are treated. As soon as our break starts we run like birds freed from a cage.

We play, we laugh, we run, we shout.
And friendship is something we learn about.

But all good things end and we dread the moment when we have to walk to class and provided all the worst periods are after the break (coincidence? I think not!). But we do our best by teasing the teacher till the end of time the period. The end of the school day is warmly welcomed and we head home preparing our defenses for yet another day of war.

My thoughts exactly. :P
